I once charged a b18 spec into an incoming DS, and it crushed him. It's fun to be an alpha male xeno

Is Solaris Ridge meant to be a backwater colony or a state of the art facility? There's no real lore on any of the locations in an easily accessible place.

What could robust skills be used in cm other than for killing aliens, like, what would you do
  • CrimsonAerospaceToday, 18:54
    Deflecting bullets with no armor.

Backwater excavation-secret Xeno experimentation site, presumably.

I immediately think of you acting like a stereotypical Russian man, blowing everything up.

One of the best things about support roles is finding NEW way to powergame, then making sure ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ELSE finds out about it. Secret power game mechanics give you that.... edge over other players, while not making the game unfair, just giving balance to more skilled players. I'd give good examples, but that breaks rule two of finding new ways to powergame..... DON'T TALK ABOUT IT.

The one example I can give I think is.... handing out gen meds as the researcher. making medical combos, that can be drank by normal marines, and deal with most wounds, while not being able to OD on, because you understand the code. I know full and damn well that understanding the code to the point you can make meds with 0 downsides is powergaming, hence why you have to mix in some RP

And never, ever, ever, ever, talk about it. ever.

I guess the goal is to turn the tides SLIGHTLY in your favor, just like any role would ACTUALLY do.

You mean like filling a flask with 15u of Tricodrazine, 15u Bicardine, 15u Kelotane, and 15u Tramdol and just tell marines to drink the whole thing/feed it to another marine when they get messed up?

Kinda. I would go further into it, but again, gotta keep my secrets so people can love seeing me as the researcher and know I'm going to do my best to help the marines.
