Also somehow magically every marine knows the round ended ICly lol.
  • OnerOnexO26 minutes ago
But you see, it was the end of the round, my character was infected and in the caves of LV624.
  • Tylaaaaar26 minutes ago
Could you stick a sadar in your mouth and fire?
  • OnerOnexO26 minutes ago
Well tbh yeah, themaskedman2, lol xd
  • OnerOnexO25 minutes ago
Do you want me to send a video of how to use a pistol to shoot yourself, which my character did, he didn't take some RPG
  • OnerOnexO25 minutes ago
Heck, do you want me to write a IC story to why i decided to shoot my character in the head at the end of the round?
  • Tylaaaaar24 minutes ago
just wait for your appeal to be accepted or denied. To me it seems like it will be accepted but who knowwws
  • OnerOnexO23 minutes ago
    Oh hey zdashe
  • Jaketeaking23 minutes ago
It'll be denied, he appealed at 24hr ban, which is against the appeal rules
  • OnerOnexO23 minutes ago
Avoid appealing for a 24 hour or less ban.
  • Tylaaaaar22 minutes ago
Welp looks like no CM for you today sadly
  • OnerOnexO21 minutes ago
A 24 hour ban is unneccesarry, a 3 hour ban is more than enough to tell me "hey dont shoot yourself in the head next time"
  • OnerOnexO20 minutes ago
I just want to get on the fuckin server and play, instead i have to deal with waiting a day just because i didn't adminhelp for permission
  • OnerOnexO20 minutes ago
Of course, the adminhelp would probably been denied because yes, it was the end of the round
  • OnerOnexO19 minutes ago
Zdashe, can you please give your understanding as to why you decided i should be banned for 24 hours
  • Jaketeaking19 minutes ago
OnerOnexO wrote:more than enough to tell me "hey dont shoot yourself in the head next time"
clearly, it wasnt, because it isnt the first time youve done it
  • OnerOnexO18 minutes ago
Um, that was the first time i shot myself in the head, of course IMO with a valid reason, at the end of the round.
  • Jaketeaking17 minutes ago
It isnt the fact you shot yourself in the head, its the fact you generated combat logs after round end
  • OnerOnexO17 minutes ago
I've only been banned once before, that was again for making a shitty joke the end of the round which landed me 3 hours, which i understand completely
  • OnerOnexO16 minutes ago
Okay so; let me get this straight, the reason EORG inconviniences admins is because it generates combat logs which makes searching for something harder or what
  • TastyMints16 minutes ago
This server has a pathological hatred of post-round shuttle griff, and thus generating any form of combat log for any reason is an automatic ban for a period of time. Such is life
  • OnerOnexO16 minutes ago
Does it slow down the server when combat logs are generated at the end of the round, or what is it
  • TastyMints15 minutes ago
Wouldn't take it so personally man, happened to me before too.
  • OnerOnexO15 minutes ago
    The rules say
  • OnerOnexO14 minutes ago
Fighting after the round ends and generating combat logs. The exception is Marines and aliens fighting, or fighting against spawned Antags (Russian attack teams, W-Y Assassins, etc). End of Round Grief (EORG) is an IMMEDIATE 3 hour ban with no warnings.
  • Jaketeaking14 minutes ago
But this isnt your first offence, which is why it was increased
  • OnerOnexO13 minutes ago
One thing it doesnt say is that it stacks, but that rule is w/e understandable
  • OnerOnexO13 minutes ago
Examples that are NOT Griefing: Two marines get into a fight over something and start throwing punches at each other. Two consenting marines want to roleplay a situation that ends with them attacking or killing each other. Adminhelps ahead of time would be best, as you'll likely get notified by an Admin at some point when the combat logs pop up. A distraught Survivor fearfully shoots at an approaching marine and runs away.
  • OnerOnexO12 minutes ago
That also generates combat logs, so I'm confused as to why the hell shooting myself in the head with a decent IC reason at the end of the round lands me 24 hours?
  • OnerOnexO12 minutes ago
I'm not trying to exploit the rules or anything, I just want to get on the server and play the game
  • OnerOnexO11 minutes ago
    Anyone care to explain/help?

Creating a combat log at all after the round has ended is classified as ERG.

This is an example of something that isn't griefing in general and not ERG.
  • OnerOnexO8 minutes ago
    ??????????
  • OnerOnexO8 minutes ago
But it's still combat logs generated after the round has ended, which is within IC reason.
  • Szunti8 minutes ago
You have to stop arresting a marine too after round end

this isnt after round end though.
  • OnerOnexO6 minutes ago
    It isn't?
  • TastyMints6 minutes ago
Alas, my ban was over combat logs generated on a braindead. Didn't skirt the combat log rule though.
  • Jaketeaking6 minutes ago
If any of those actions happen after round end, they get banned
  • OnerOnexO5 minutes ago
Oh wait, EORG is it's own thing
  • TastyMints5 minutes ago
Honestly I don't think the admins care enough to revoke the temp combat log bans
  • TastyMints5 minutes ago
No offense intended by that statement, mind
  • OnerOnexO5 minutes ago
Okay... Zdashe responded to my appeal
  • Jaketeaking5 minutes ago
OnerOnexO wrote: Oh wait, EORG is it's own thing
    exactly.
  • OnerOnexO4 minutes ago
I've only been banned once before though for EORG?
  • Szunti2 minutes ago
I think it's that generally it breaks RP if marines start shooting, but still there is always a couple. RP wise ok is forbidden maybe because the server restarts at round end, so admins have just that couple seconds to finish investigations, if there is much logs they have to delay. But noone wants a delay at every round end. But this is only my theory.
  • Jaketeaking2 minutes ago
I dont know the ban escalation procedure, but i would assume its correct
  • OnerOnexO1 minute ago
A server like this generates like thousands of combat logs each rounds
