Robust = being Johnny Rambo in every way possible, massive powergaming(this word is fucking stupid and should only stay for HRP servers), being selfish as much as possible to achieve a goal alone.

Robust =/= team player, no powergaming, good at only one thing, being selfless as much as possible to achieve a goal as a team.

You're all terrible at actually being robust.

This isn't HRP, sissy, yet CM is going towards that way.

I would consider Jackson Dee and Xiphos Volund the most robust. When they show up, I can only see the asskickings intensify. Uriel Turner (my main man) also fits in this category when he leads.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Crab, you couldn't 1v1 a larva with a bootknife, you'd get your ankles robusted before you could get your first hit in.

It all depends on luck, the person your facing, and lag at the time tbh.

Sometimes you kill the Queen solo due to the fact that you got stuck in a small room with her, had a shotgun, and she was off Screech.

Sometimes you die instantly because you get rushed by the hive and no matter how many people are around you and your own robust skills there just isn't enough time to put damage on the hive before your taken away and killed / hugged.

You can predict the flow of battle, where the xenos are, where the marines are, and when its time to retreat but even then there is the odd chance of being ambushed, or the xeno's being weird and trying out a new strategy, or all the marines suddenly getting a burst of courage and all rushing at the same time for no explained reasoning and winning.

Its just how it is.

It's called the Potion of Plot. The Gods shall bestow it upon me, and the legendary Plot Armor materializes around me, but because this is a divine potion fueled by the desires of the Gods, they shall give th and taketh away.

Defending what? You know you actually need to have a reputation as a good player before you can try to defend your reputation.

if only individual robustness was valued in CM

but its classed as powergaming, or nerfed by developers, so individual robustness has taken the seat to team oriented robustness

there are still some roles where individual robustness matter (combat medic is one) but sooner or later devs will find a way to nerf them too when too many robust people play it (just like engineering) so this thread is basically a way to find out which role is popular with "powergamers"

Now. Was this to roast me? Or was this a statement? Because let's be frank, if I insulted you IRL, what would be the point of responding? That seems to be your only way of getting someone too. Drag them down to your level and beat them with your already low experience to compensate. Now. If you're the one judging me, please explain your definition of robust.

My definition of robust? Impossible, there's no such thing as being robust. There's skill and there's luck and the two don't usually mix, managing to fuck up an elite crusher with a bootknife would be well played from a skilled player. Trying to shoot a Hunter with buckshot just as he pounces at you and blowing her away would arguably fall under luck since you were just firing at them and happened to fire as they pounced.

Now i have a question for you: Why do you put so much effort into this? Do you really hold it of a high level of importance when someone thinks lesser of you on a 2d spaceman game cause from what i've seen of you on the forums, you take your reputation quite seriously when really most people here don't give much of a fuck about their ego or reputation or whatever, take Noah for example, he'll bring himself down to act goofy or say something funny and doesn't care that people might go, "Why is this guy saying something so stupid?".

So again, your move.
